Academic Support Specialist

A highly rewarding opportunity has arisen for a skilled SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at an outstanding school in Wythenshawe. This role offers the chance to make a positive impact on students' lives and support them in achieving their full potential.
About the Role
- Work closely with students who require additional support due to SEN, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and social, emotional, or mental health difficulties.
- Develop and implement tailored teaching strategies to meet individual needs and create a nurturing, inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support students inside and outside the classroom to boost their confidence and academic performance.
- Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to deliver effective interventions and activities.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and contribute to ongoing assessments.
Requirements
- Relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience.
- Strong understanding of SEN strategies and interventions.
- Current, up-to-date Safeguarding training.
- Enhanced DBS (registered with the online update service).
