About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Loungers. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for leading and supporting the Head Chef in delivering exceptional food quality and service standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading shifts and ensuring the kitchen runs effectively and safely
  • Manning the pass to ensure food is prepared and presented to the highest standards
  • Developing and implementing new menu ideas and recipes
  • Managing kitchen inventory and ordering supplies
  • Coaching and mentoring junior chefs to improve their skills and knowledge

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or equivalent role
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain a high level of attention to detail
  • Knowledge of kitchen operations and food safety procedures
  • Ability to develop and implement new menu ideas and recipes
  • Coaching and mentoring skills
