Financial Operations Manager

TPF Recruitment is supporting a reputable accounting firm based in the region who are seeking a highly skilled Accounts and Tax Manager to join their team. This role will provide an excellent opportunity for a professional to work closely with the partner and support them with the larger, more prestigious clients of the business, where they will be able to develop advisory skills in areas such as advising on business transactions and general corporate finance.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Reporting: Prepare and review annual statutory accounts, corporation, partnership, and personal tax returns.
- Financial Management: Prepare monthly and quarterly accounts and VAT returns.
- Client Management: Manage a mixed client portfolio made up of small business owners through to significantly sized groups.
- Team Leadership: Oversee and review the work of more junior staff and bookkeepers.
- Client Onboarding: Onboard new clients and assist the partners with ad-hoc consulting and systems implementation work as required.
- Qualifications: ACA/ACCA or qualified by experience with at least 5 years of experience within practice.
- Experience: Worked as a Senior Accountant/Team Leader/Client Manager/Manager within a practice environment and have hands-on experience of accounts, management accounts, tax, and VAT.
- Salary: £50,000 - £65,000, based on experience.
