Lead Environmental Manager Role

We are seeking an experienced Lead Environmental Manager to join our Environment & Infrastructure Team. This key role will involve leading on the management and delivery of projects across the UK, working closely with clients to obtain environmental consents for national infrastructure schemes and renewable energy projects.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead on the integration of consents and consenting activities into project delivery, from design to construction. You will work closely with our various environmental teams, managing key stakeholder interfaces and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Leading projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
  • Managing client relationships and providing expert advice on environmental consenting procedures.
  • Collaborating with internal teams to develop project strategies and ensure effective communication.


The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of environmental requirements during major development and infrastructure projects in the UK. A degree (or equivalent) in an environmental or related subject is essential, with an MSc or further professional qualifications being advantageous. The role would suit someone who has led on the environmental aspects of development projects and worked in the construction sector, particularly post-planning consent and during detail design and construction stages of projects.

A competitive salary of £55,000-£65,000 per annum is on offer, along with a range of benefits including 25 days holiday + bank holidays, option to purchase up to 5 extra days per year, company pension scheme, group disability scheme, and more.
