Job Summary

The Mobile Multi Skilled Engineer will be responsible for performing Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance to Plant, Equipment, and Building Services. This includes identifying and managing risks to clients through equipment on site, updating drawings, identifying critical spares, improving performance of machinery, and implementing preventative maintenance programs.

Responsibilities

  • Electrical and Mechanical Expertise: Provide expert advice and support to the Maintenance Department, working on Heavy Industrial Machines and Overhead Cranes.
  • Risk Assessment and Management: Write and follow risk assessments, addressing any issues that arise safely and accurately.
  • Maintenance Tasks: Perform routine maintenance tasks on motors, gearboxes, valves encompassing Hydraulic, Pneumatic, and Electrical Systems.
  • Mobile Device Usage: Use mobile devices to accurately project and complete any works from the CAFM Maintenance System.
  • Liaison and Coordination: Liaise with onsite Site Services to manage Building Services related issues, responding confidently and accurately as required.
  • Team Support: Deputise the Shift Leader during annual leave or sickness, and work overtime as needed, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications and Experience

Required qualifications include a minimum City and Guilds 236 Pt 1-2 Electrical qualification, or equivalent. Additionally, an acceptable standard of Mechanical competence, as demonstrated by City and Guild's Mechanical qualifications, is necessary. A good understanding of PLC Diagnostics/Repair and NVQ Qualifications to Level 2, Electrical and Mechanical are also essential. The ideal candidate will have IPAF certification and experience in supervising contractors and writing Risk and Method Statements.
