We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our Science Department. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting our students and teachers, helping to create an engaging and inclusive learning environment.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our experienced teachers to deliver high-quality lessons, lead small intervention groups, and assist with classroom duties. You will also be able to contribute to the planning and preparation of lessons, developing your understanding of effective teaching and learning strategies.

Our school is committed to providing excellent training and development opportunities, with the potential to progress onto a Salaried Teacher Training course after one year. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers in the delivery of Science lessons to students across Key Stages 4 and 5
  • Lead small intervention groups, providing additional support to students who require extra help
  • Support pupils with SEN in the classroom
  • Assist with general classroom duties, including preparing materials and resources

Requirements:

  • A Science-related degree (2:1 or higher)
  • Good A Levels and GCSEs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
