Consultant Gastroenterologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Gastroenterologist to join our dynamic department at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust.
The successful appointee will be responsible for delivering high-quality inpatient and outpatient services in Gastroenterology and Hepatology, working closely with our existing team of 16 substantive Gastroenterology Consultants.
The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in gastroenterology and endoscopy, with a passion for supporting and developing a forward-thinking service. Sub-specialty interests in IBD, Hepatology, and/or nutrition are highly valued.
The post-holder will participate in the Gastroenterology Consultant on-call rota and support the delivery of weekend endoscopy lists as necessary.
About the RoleThe Gastroenterology ward is located on Ward 32, which provides 32 inpatient beds and 2 dedicated side-rooms for day-case admission. Our state-of-the-art JAG-approved endoscopy suite features 8 endoscopy rooms, a seminar room, and a video processor system for ERCP.
We offer a range of services, including small bowel capsule endoscopy, single balloon enteroscopy, and colon capsule endoscopy. Our equipment is supplied by Olympus and was refurbished in 2016.
