Main Purpose of the Role

To work on job-specific seating and event facility CAD models, assemblies, layouts, and site GA's, from the initial feasibility study to the final fabrication/construction issue.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Ensure all design files and project information are stored and managed in accordance with company procedures.
  2. Issue basic Steel, Aluminium, Plywood, and GRP fabrication drawings.
  3. Create and develop 2D/3D AutoCAD layouts, models, and assemblies to meet project specifications, relevant industry guides, and standards, including sightline studies.
  4. Maintain and improve the library of standard parts, bespoke parts, and large assemblies in 2D and 3D.
  5. Create site construction drawings and layouts.
  6. Create and develop civil engineering/architectural layouts liaising with internal and external departments.
  7. Create, revise, and manage project-specific bill of materials.
  8. Visit client sites to carry out site survey work when needed.
  9. Generating basic 3D visuals.
  10. Revising and checking of models and layouts as requested.
  11. Carry out from time to time and as directed, any other reasonable duties as required in addition to the above that will be both reasonable and within your capabilities.
  12. Ensure that at all times you take care of your health and safety and that of others by complying with health and safety obligations.
Safety Responsibilities
  1. Take reasonable care of own health and safety and that of others.
  2. Cooperate with Arena Group and follow instructions, policies, and procedures as detailed.
  3. Not engage in any improper conduct that could endanger themselves or anyone else.
  4. Participate in safety and health training offered by Arena.
  5. Wear the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) required for their job tasks.
  6. Serve as a good role model to co-workers, contractors, visitors, and clients for safe work practices and behavior at all work locations.
  7. Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work area.
  8. Address any safety concerns quickly and report concerns.
Knowledge Required
  1. A background in Architectural metalwork, staircase design, and construction or an understanding of Engineering and Construction principles.
  2. Basic understanding of Building Regulations.
  3. Basic understanding of Stadia related Regulations.
  4. A background in Temporary/Modular Structures (preferable).
Skills and Qualifications
  1. Advanced knowledge of Autodesk AutoCAD in 2D and 3D using both Model Space and Paper Space with at least 3 years of experience.
  2. Good spatial perception and reasoning – Ability to think in a three-dimensional manner.
  3. Basic knowledge of Autodesk Navisworks (preferable).
  4. MS Office package.
  5. Professional qualifications in Civil/Structural/Building/Mechanical Engineering or Architecture to a minimum of HNC/HND is desirable.

Other Information

A full, clean driving license is required. This role involves some travel to site (UK and International) therefore passport and ability to travel is required.
