Exciting Opportunity for an Engineering & Project Director

We are seeking an experienced Engineering & Project Director to join our talented team based in Peterborough. As an Engineering & Project Director, you will provide effective, visible, and inspirational leadership as a member of the Senior Management Team for the business unit and be accountable for the Engineering and Project Management capability of the business.

You will be accountable for the New Build revenue, margin, and cash flow and ensure the effective governance, design authority, planning, resourcing, and quality assurance of all activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the highest levels of customer satisfaction as a result of the outputs and actions of the Engineering and Projects Team.
  • Develop a high-performing team including, but not limited to, the professional development of team members and effective performance management.
  • Own and ensure the accurate and timely provision of the New Build annual operating plan, forecasts, and latest views for all revenue, margin, and cash.
  • Serve as the "gatekeeper" for the gateway process used on major projects.
  • Overall accountability for the development and execution of the Business Strategy for Engineering and Project Management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering subject along with relevant professional qualifications.
  • Extensive previous experience leading engineering and project management functions at a senior leadership level.
  • Previous experience working for an OEM supplying similar bespoke rotating equipment products to the oil and gas, petrochemical, and power generation industries.
  • Strong commercial acumen based upon extensive previous experience having commercial responsibilities similar to this role.
  • Highly experienced leading teams including coaching, developing, and recruiting team members.
