Installation / Commissioning Engineer (Automation Products)

We are seeking an experienced Installation / Commissioning Engineer to join our team in Southampton. The successful candidate will report to the Lead Installation / Commissioning Engineer and be responsible for the installation and commissioning of control panels and equipment, including retro-fitting existing panels, installation of new wall mount panels, and installation of full MCC systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Pre-Contract Site Surveys
  • Installation of Control Panels and Equipment
  • Commissioning Activities, including setup of VSD / signal isolators / timers, setup of Flow meters / pressure sensors / temperature sensors, and modification of control panels
  • Creation of Risk Assessments, Method Statements, Site Progress Reports, and other paperwork
Requirements:
  • A background in working in industrial electrical installations / assembly
  • Experience of working as an Electrical installation technician / engineer
  • NVQ Level 3 or above in electrical installation
  • ECS card (or equivalent)
  • 12 months or more experience of working in industrial installations
  • Onsite Fault Finding and Modification of Electrical Control Systems
  • Client facing with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Hard working and self-motivated
