Our St. Merryn facility in Merthyr Tydfil combines beef and lamb processing and packing facilities, offering a range of products from retail-ready cuts for butchers' counters to branded packaged meat.

We are currently recruiting for Production Operators to work in our Retail section of the factory.

Working hours are 6.00am to 6.30pm - 3 days on / 3 days off with a salary of £12.19 per hour.

Daily Tasks:

  • To follow clear operational processes and customer specifications to provide consistently high-quality products.
  • Understanding how your role impacts on the effective operation of the line and to identify improvements to the ways of working.
  • Adherence to Health and Safety rules and procedures, including correct wearing of issued PPE.

Requirements:

  • Check the cuts of meat to ensure that they are in line with specifications.
  • Arrange meat in packaging, complying with display requirements.
  • Ensure that the pack weight is correct.
  • Reject any items including packaging and meats that look to be outside of our quality specifications.
  • You will be working at a fast pace and accurately checking the meat.
