Key ResponsibilitiesThe key responsibilities of this role include:
- Collaborating with senior experts to optimize project costs and risks
- Preparing drawings and calculations to ensure quality control and compliance procedures are adhered to for engineering
- Monitoring construction progress to ensure that deadlines are being met
- Liaising with clients and carrying out site investigations
- Coordinating with engineers, subcontractors, and other parties involved in the construction project to ensure that all work is completed according to specifications
- Liaising with quantity surveyors about the ordering and the pricing of materials
- Ensuring that health and safety and sustainability policies and legislation are adhered to
To be successful as a Graduate Civils Construction Engineer, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree, HNC or HND in an Engineering/Construction discipline
- Full UK manual driving license
- Passionate about starting a career in the civils/construction industry
- High attention to detail coupled with meticulous planning and organisational skills
- Demonstrate a strong interest in all aspects of engineering and looking for a dynamic workplace that provides an outstanding career opportunity
- Excellent good communication skills, be able to work flexibly in a team and be a hard worker
Farrans Construction offers a competitive base salary of £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a range of benefits, including:
- Car allowance
- Payment of an annual professional membership
- Contributory pensions plan up to 6% (split contribution of 3%)
- Health Shield (Medical & Dental Cover included)
- 34 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays)
- Enhanced family policies
