As a remote Power Grid Systems Engineer, you will play a vital role in empowering our clients and project managers to make a significant impact from day one. This role focuses on conducting advanced power system studies and simulations to facilitate the integration of renewable energy sources and large consumer facilities into the grid. The engineer will utilise software tools like PSCAD and DIgSILENT for power system modelling, harmonic analysis, and transient studies, while ensuring compliance with electrical safety standards. Collaborating with international project teams, this position aims to enhance grid reliability and performance, driving innovation in sustainable energy solutions while leveraging remote work flexibility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed power system analyses, including short circuit studies, harmonic analysis, transient simulations, and power quality assessments.
- Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in power systems and grid analysis to drive innovation and improve processes.
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on analysis results to enhance system reliability, performance, and safety.
- Facilitate the integration of renewable energy sources (e.g., solar, wind) into the electrical grid by conducting grid connection studies and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Master's degree in Power Systems, Renewable Energy, or Electrical Engineering is preferred but not mandatory.
- Certifications such as PSCAD Certification, DIgSILENT PowerFactory Certification, Certified Energy Manager (CEM) can be an additional advantage.
