Job Title: Technical Documentation Specialist

Location: Flexible working arrangements available

Salary: Circa £38,000

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quality check delivery packages of documents supplied from internal departments and the supply chain
  • Sourcing documents from document management systems
  • Quality check documents to ensure functionality of the Interactive Electronic Technical Publication (IETP) is maintained
  • Manage data in a Common Source Database (CSDB)
  • Utilise trilogy software to build IETPs by following local instructions and publishing it for the end users to access
  • Assist the IETP Production Lead to ensure all configuration control of documentation and records is accurately maintained

Requirements:

Essential:

  • HNC/HND or equivalent experience within a relevant engineering discipline
  • Practical knowledge of engineering
  • Experience of handling documents and proficient in the discipline of configuration control

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in a technical documentation role
  • Knowledge and understanding of an IETP, ASD S1000D and of a Common Source Database (data vault)

About the Role:

You'll join a team focused on Technical Publications, specialising in Astute and Vanguard class IETP (Interactive Electronic Technical Publications). In this role, you'll have a unique opportunity to broaden your understanding of the entire boat and collaborate with various stakeholders involved in submarine projects.
