Key Responsibilities
  1. Deliver Mathematics lessons tailored to meet individual learning needs and abilities.
  2. Monitor and assess students' progress, providing regular feedback and support to help them achieve their full potential.

Requirements

  • At least 1-2 years of teaching experience, preferably in a PRU or with students who have additional needs, with a strong understanding of the Maths curriculum.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A relevant degree in Maths or a related subject, along with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.

Familiarity with Safeguarding Policies:

  • Familiarity with safeguarding policies and procedures, particularly in PRU settings.

To excel in this role:

  • Extensive experience in teaching Maths to students with SEMH needs or in alternative provision settings, with a proven track record of success.
  • Leadership or Coordinator Roles: Experience as a Maths subject lead, behaviour lead, or involvement in extracurricular activities that support PRU students.
  • Continued professional development (CPD) in areas such as SEMH, trauma-informed practice, or restorative approaches.
