Key Responsibilities:
- Manage projects from start to finish, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget.
- Collaborate with internal teams to update project schedules and manage documentation.
- Prepare and manage tendering and negotiation processes for works.
- Appoint and manage external consultants, planners, and contractors.
- Monitor and report on project quality and specification.
- Lead pre-start and ongoing review meetings with contractors.
- Ensure accurate Build Handover Schedules and manage unit handovers.
- Work with the Principal Designer to issue Pre-Construction information and review/approve plans.
- Assist with financial budget processes and ensure data accuracy in the cost database.
- Manage variations from the scope of works, ensuring proper identification, communication, and approval.
- Validate Main Contractor applications for payment by reporting on progress and quality of work.
- Ensure high-quality project presentation pre-launch and throughout the sales process.
- Liaise with sales/marketing teams regarding design and specification.
- Implement health and safety policies, ensuring practices and procedures are followed.
Requirements:
- Experience as a Project Manager or Quantity Surveyor in the Construction industry.
- Passion for varied refurbishment projects, ideally in the residential sector.
- Construction or real estate degree or qualified by experience.
- Previous experience using project management software and/or databases to run projects.
- Comfortable with financial/cashflow management, budgeting, and managing variations through projects.
- Competent in preparation and management of all required specification and contractual documentation.
- Proven organisation and communication skills.
- Adaptable, focused on personal development, and team-oriented.
- Regular travel across England and Wales - Full driving licence necessary.
What's on Offer:
Based: Bedfordshire (2 days office) / Hybrid / Site
Salary & Package: £55-60,000 + car allowance of £7,000/fuel + great benefits
