Key Responsibilities
As a Support Worker, your key responsibilities will include:

• Providing one-to-one support to individuals with autism, enabling them to develop independence in daily living, accessing education and leisure activities

• Working on a rota basis, including unsocial hours and weekends, to ensure 24/7 coverage for our services

• Maintaining accurate records of individual progress and updating these regularly

• Collaborating with colleagues to ensure effective delivery of our services

• Participating in regular meetings and training sessions to enhance your knowledge and skills

• Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to data protection policies at all times

• Engaging in ongoing professional development to enhance your practice and contribute to the growth of Autism Initiatives

• Supporting individuals to access community resources and promoting their involvement in local activities

• Building and maintaining positive relationships with individuals, their families, and other stakeholders

• Identifying and reporting any issues or concerns related to individual safety or well-being

• Adhering to Autism Initiatives' values, policies, and procedures at all times

• Completing relevant documentation, such as risk assessments and care plans, as required

• Engaging in fire drills, emergency procedures, and other safety-related activities as necessary

• Upholding the highest standards of professionalism and integrity in all interactions

Requirements and Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications and experience:

• A strong understanding of providing care and support, preferably in a similar setting

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with individuals and their families

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances

• Valid UK driving license for a manual vehicle, with at least one year of driving experience

• NISCC registration (or willingness to register upon appointment)

• Full UK driving license held for at least one year
