We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Lending Attorney to join our Investment Banking team in London. As a Senior Lending Attorney, you will play a key role in delivering high-profile transactions typical of a global financial institution.

About the Role

This is a 6-month contract role supporting the Acquisition and Leveraged Finance business within the EMEA region. The successful candidate will work closely with the legal team to deliver high-profile transactions, providing specialist legal guidance on a variety of lending transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transaction Support: Deliver legal support for leveraged and acquisition finance transactions, private credit, and infrastructure lending.
  • Document Review: Draft, negotiate, and review transaction documentation, including mandate letters, commitment letters, loan agreements, and associated documents.
  • Risk Management: Advise on due diligence and provide guidance on legal and regulatory risks.
  • Market Knowledge: Keep abreast of market practices and regulatory changes.

We estimate the salary for this position to be around £110,000-£130,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • Expertise in Leveraged Finance: Strong knowledge of leveraged and acquisition finance transactions.
  • LMA Documentation: Proficiency with Loan Market Association (LMA) documentation and cross-border transactions.
  • Drafting and Negotiation: Strong drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Problem-Solving: A proactive approach to problem-solving and managing legal risk.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional communication and organisational skills, with the ability to deliver under pressure.
