Electrical Maintenance Technician - High Voltage

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our High Voltage Electrical Maintenance Team at Liberty Steel Group. As an Electrical Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for providing electrical maintenance and repairs to our high voltage networks, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical maintenance and repairs to high voltage networks, including circuit breakers, protection equipment, and transformers.
  • Conduct electrical testing methods and fault-finding skills to identify and resolve electrical issues.
  • Work as part of a team to ensure safe working procedures and apply recognized safety practices to each task.
  • Deliver a first-class customer service in accordance with departmental goals and key performance indicators.
  • Develop and maintain a methodical approach to work, with attention to detail and accuracy when completing inspection paperwork.

Requirements

  • Apprentice-trained with a minimum of 2 years' experience in electrical inspection and repair work in a heavy industrial environment.
  • Working knowledge of HV & LV networks, circuit breakers, protection equipment, transformers, earthing systems, and HV & LV permit to work systems.
  • Current driving license is essential.

Working Hours

The role operates on a 7-day rota, with working hours from 7am to 3pm Monday to Friday and 6am to 2pm weekends.
