Job Title: Retail Assistant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Retail Assistant to join our team at Primark Darlington. As a Retail Assistant, you will be responsible for providing an exceptional customer experience, maintaining a high level of store standards, and working collaboratively with the team to achieve sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer queries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Maintain a high level of store standards, including visual merchandising, stockroom organization, and cash handling procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to achieve sales targets, including promoting products, handling customer transactions, and maintaining a positive and engaging store environment.
  • Participate in visual merchandising and stockroom activities, including receiving and processing stock, maintaining stockroom organization, and ensuring accurate stock levels.
  • Process customer transactions, including handling cash, credit card payments, and returns.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and colleagues.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and credit card transactions.
  • Ability to lift and move stock, as required.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
