Adoption Panel Advisor

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide expert evidence in court proceedings
• Conduct thorough assessments of children, families, and carers to ensure the best possible outcomes
• Collaborate with the adoption team to develop and implement effective strategies for supporting children and families
• Supervise and mentor colleagues to ensure high-quality practice
• Develop and maintain sound knowledge of the new Kinship strategy and its implications for adoption practice
• Contribute to the development of policies and procedures that promote best practice in adoption
• Work closely with the Agency Decision Makers to ensure that decisions are made in the best interests of children
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of all assessments and decisions
• Participate in ongoing professional development to stay up-to-date with best practice in adoption and child care
Requirements:
• Registered Social Worker (SWE) with a minimum of 5 years' post-qualifying experience in the UK
• Enhanced DBS/CRB clearance (we can assist with obtaining this)
• Eligibility to work in the UK
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, families, and colleagues
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to workload and priorities
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
• Strong commitment to ongoing professional development and staying up-to-date with best practice in adoption and child care
