Michael Page is seeking a highly competent Senior Accountant to join their team.
Job DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to prepare limited company statutory financial statements for Small and Medium sized companies. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of basic Corporation tax and deferred tax principles, as well as experience in training junior team members.
The role will involve producing disclosure notes to financial statements and working on 8 audits across the year, mostly charities which require some ad hoc work.
Key Responsibilities- Preparation of limited company statutory financial statements for SMEs.
- Produce disclosure notes to financial statements.
- Have an understanding of basic Corporation tax and deferred tax principles.
- Experience of training junior team members.
- Assist with audit work for various clients.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Highly competent with solid commercial awareness and several years' experience within general practice.
- Currently working through ACCA, ACA, AAT exams or equivalent (or Qualified By Experience).
- Experience of producing SME accounts for a wide range of industries.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and able to successfully communicate with people at all levels, both financial and non-financial.
