Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor or Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team at Kenton Black Ltd in Northamptonshire. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in residential groundworks and excellent time management skills.

The role involves optimising contract profitability, providing quotations for variations and accurate monthly cost and value reports. Key responsibilities include:

  • Optimising contract profitability through effective financial analysis and forecasting.
  • Providing competitive quotations to clients for variations, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Developing a comprehensive understanding of residential groundworks, including best practices and industry standards.
  • Preparing accurate monthly cost and value reports, enabling informed business decisions.
  • Performing all other daily tasks associated with a Quantity Surveyor, including project coordination and stakeholder engagement.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor / Quantity Surveyor in residential groundworks.
  • Proven ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines, prioritising multiple tasks and projects.
  • Familiarity with value engineering principles and techniques, enabling the identification of cost-saving opportunities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

The estimated salary for this role is £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
