About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Professional to join our team in Newark, Nottinghamshire. As a Record-to-Report Accountant, you will be responsible for processing daily accounting activities and reporting within weekly, monthly, and annual timetables.

This role involves managing various areas, including fixed assets, inventory accounting, journal posting, intercompany transactions, accruals, and prepayments. You will work closely with the team to establish a centre of excellence for accounting, ensuring adherence to processes and Standard Operating Procedures, meeting Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Responsibilities
  • Process accounting activities and reports according to established timelines.
  • Manage fixed assets, inventory accounting, and journal postings.
  • Handle intercompany transactions, accruals, and prepayments.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop and implement efficient accounting processes.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have experience working in a finance team and be proficient in using Excel. Additionally, you will be studying for an accounting qualification and looking to advance your career in finance.
