Senior Financial Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Operations Manager to join our team at The Savoy, a Fairmont Managed Hotel.

Job Responsibilities- Manage the finance team, providing leadership and direction.
- Work closely with the Purchasing team to ensure all standards are followed.
- Supervise the accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and income audit functions.
- Ensure the monthly payroll is carried out with a high level of accuracy and in line with company policies and SOPs.
- Handle the annual submission of the hotel's PAYE Settlement Agreement.
- Ensure all Finance Operations comply with Internal Audit policies.
- Ensure all Finance Operations comply with applicable legislation and external audit requirements.
- Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring efficient completion, and managing the month-end process.
- Oversee the cash flow process.
- Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures.
- Monitor and control procedures.
- Participate in the recruitment and training of new colleagues.
- Review and complete monthly P&L reports, conducting monthly Balance Sheet reviews, and reporting to key stakeholders.
- Submit quarterly/monthly VAT returns within the deadlines set by HMRC.
- Partner with operational and support departments.
- Ensure a strong control environment within the hotel.
- Review and authorize POs and expenses as required by company policy.
- Review and authorize all refunds and allowances.
- Review and approve banking transactions within approved authorization limits.
- Assist in financial audit preparation in conjunction with the group reporting manager.
The salary for this position is estimated to be around £65,000 - £75,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits, including:

To be successful in this role, you will need:
- An accounting qualification – preferred not required
- A great attitude with a willingness to learn and make your mark

- Work closely with the Director of Finance & Business Support and the Executive team to drive the success of the business
