Avery Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Recreational Therapist. This role involves supporting the Wellbeing Coordinator in delivering a wide range of activities that cater to the physical, cognitive, and social well-being of residents.
The ideal candidate will have effective communication skills, a positive attitude towards older people, and previous experience working with older adults in a residential setting.
Key Responsibilities- Maintaining a safe living environment and contributing to the positive image of the home.
- Reporting any changes in residents' physical or emotional condition to the relevant staff members.
- Supporting the ordering and preparation of supplies for upcoming activities.
- Establishing links with local community groups to promote intergenerational activity.
To be successful in this role, you must possess excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of the importance of interaction in maintaining residents' overall well-being, and a commitment to providing stimulating activities and social events.
