Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Providing skilled nursing care to patients with spinal cord injuries
- Assessing patient needs and developing individualized care plans
- Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to ensure effective patient care
- Participating in the preceptorship programme for newly qualified nurses
- Developing and maintaining specialist knowledge and skills in orthopaedic nursing
The Medical RGN will be responsible for:
- Providing patient-centered care, maintaining own specialist knowledge and clinical skills
- Assisting the ward staff in the provision of clinical and professional advice, expertise and support
- Keeping abreast of current political issues within the NHS and future nursing trends
- Assessing care required, requesting medical input as necessary and devising appropriate care programmes for the patient
- Providing a high standard of nursing care based on the assessment of care needs
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- RGN with NMC registration (or studying towards)
- Numeracy skills
- Awareness of current NHS issues
