Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Operations Planner to join our team in Middlesbrough. As an Operations Planner, you will be responsible for providing operational support to deliver efficient services to our customers. You will work closely with our Operations Planning team to ensure the smooth operation of our towage services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage bookings and changes for towage operations: Co-ordinate bookings and changes for towage operations, ensuring information is recorded and passed to relevant employees in a timely manner.
  • Maintain excellent relationships with clients and stakeholders: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and other organisational stakeholders to ensure excellent customer service.
  • Accurately enter data and information: Accurately enter all necessary data and information into our booking, scheduling, and invoicing systems.
  • Organise scheduling and logistics: Organise the scheduling and logistics of crew and Tugs to ensure the most efficient use of assets to deliver optimum service.
  • Work closely with technical department: Collaborate with the technical department to ensure that Tugs are available for scheduled maintenance as and when required.
  • Prepare operational plans: Prepare and maintain operational plans and identify potential commercial opportunities.
  • Liaise with crewing department: Liaise with the crewing department to maintain operational availability and ensure compliance with relevant working time legislation.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge and experience of logistic planning: Knowledge and experience of logistic planning is preferred.
  • Ability to process and record information accurately: Ability to process and record information accurately is required.
  • Ability to absorb information and make decisions: Ability to absorb information, prioritise activities, and make appropriate decisions is required.
  • Confidence in dealing with clients and external agencies: Confidence in dealing with clients and external agencies is desirable.
  • Proficient in IT systems: Proficient in IT systems is required.
