About the Role
University Hospital Southampton NHS Trust is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Respiratory Physiotherapist to join our dynamic and forward-thinking team.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal part in the delivery of high-quality respiratory physiotherapy services, contributing to the health and well-being of our patients.
As a Respiratory Physiotherapist, you will work in a challenging, yet rewarding clinical environment with opportunities for professional development and career progression.
Key Responsibilities
The post holder will have a broad range of clinical experience and the ability to treat patients with care, compassion, and dignity.
You will be responsible for the assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation of patients with various respiratory conditions, including chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), asthma, trauma, critical care, and post-operative thoracic surgery patients.
You will work jointly with the multidisciplinary team to provide an advanced standard of physiotherapy to our patients, maximise function, and facilitate safe discharge.
Person Specification
Essential
- Qualifications: Degree in Physiotherapy or equivalent
- Registration: Current HCPC registration
- Experience: Experience with a variety of physical and mental health conditions/multiple pathology
- Skills: Excellent communication, time management, prioritisation, diplomacy, working autonomously, and interpersonal skills
Desirable
- Experience: Previous experience within relevant clinical area and on-call, where relevant to clinical area
