About the Job

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Pharmaceutical Dispenser to join our team at Winterton Medical Practice. As a key member of our dispensing team, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care by accurately processing prescriptions, maintaining stock levels, and ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process repeat medication requests, preparing prescriptions for patient collection
  • Organise collection of prescriptions with patients attending the practice
  • Process requests for acute medication prescribed following a clinical consultation
  • Deal with patient queries as they arise
  • Maintain adequate stock control efficiently and process any special orders necessary

Person Specification

  • GCSE grade A to C in English and Maths (essential)
  • NVQ Level 2 in pharmacy services and 1000+ hours of relevant dispensary experience (desirable)
  • Experience working as a dispenser or within a dispensary environment (essential)
  • Experience of working in Primary Care (desirable)

Working Arrangements

This is a permanent position, working approximately 14 hours per week across two sites at Winterton and Burton Surgery. You will be required to work regular weekly shifts plus additional shift cover ad hoc to cover colleagues' holiday and sickness absence.

Salary and Benefits
