About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Clinical Service Manager to lead the strategic and operational management of departments at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust. This role requires strong leadership skills, experience in operational management, and excellent interpersonal skills.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Operational Leadership: Lead departments to ensure high standards of clinical care and regulatory compliance.
  • Performance Management: Monitor and meet clinical and non-clinical performance targets, implementing improvement plans for quality, performance, and budgetary goals.
  • Resource Management: Oversee budgets, resource allocation, and financial planning.
  • Quality and Risk Management: Maintain systems for governance, risk management, and quality improvement, leading investigations of complaints and incidents to drive service improvements.
  • People Management: Foster a culture of excellence, engagement, and continuous improvement, supporting staff development and ensuring training and competency standards are met.
  • Patient Care: Ensure high-quality patient care through effective capacity and demand management.

Required Qualifications: Masters degree level qualification in Management or Health-related subject or equivalent knowledge.

Desirable Skills: Proven experience in leading and delivering change and performance initiatives, ability to analyse complex problems and develop practical solutions.

Salary: Estimated £60,000 - £80,000 per annum
