Print Operative Job Description

NextGen Recruits is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Print Operative to join our client's team at the leading Can manufacturer in the country.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with company health, safety, and environmental regulations at all times.
  • Maintain adherence to BRC requirements.
  • Operate and maintain the printing line, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Prepare materials for the next job on the production schedule, ensuring they are in good order.

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Produce each job according to specification on the Works order and Target card.
  • Inform the Shift Manager of any machine failures, defective materials, or other problems.
  • Isolate non-conforming product and report to the Shift Manager and Quality Control.
  • Hand over to the on-coming Printer and inform them of the line's state.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to ensure a smooth production process.
  • Minimize waste and maintain a clean and tidy work environment.
  • Accurately record production data according to company requirements.
  • Adhere to ISO 9001 standards.
  • Perform any other work or duties as required by the production schedule.

Salary: £35,749.25

Shift Pattern: 12-hour Continental Shift Pattern, with monthly alternation between days and nights.
