Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to join our Community Neuro team as a Team Leader. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a small team of Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, and therapy support staff in the provision of rehabilitation services for neurological patients and stroke patients.

The ideal candidate will have significant post-graduate experience as a Band 6 in a relevant clinical field, with highly developed specialist assessment and management skills. They will also have in-depth knowledge of specialist equipment and housing adaptations.

This is an exciting opportunity to provide high-quality rehabilitation services, working as part of a multidisciplinary team to support individuals to reach their maximum potential and maintain quality of life in the community.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead a small team of Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, and therapy support staff in the provision of rehabilitation services.
  • Manage a caseload of patients with diverse presentations and complex conditions, using specialist clinical reasoning skills and evidence-based practice to develop and deliver treatment programmes.
  • Coordinate the supervision, education, and assessment of students, assistants, and junior therapists in the area.
  • Participate in the planning, development, maintenance, and evaluation of the community therapy service, contributing to strategic planning and informing the Manager of any developments or needs.
  • Identify and support the achievement of learning needs of individuals/team in response to service need and personal development planning.
