Deliver Exceptional Service Standards

As a key member of the Mitie team, you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality contract service delivery at Mosborough Primary School. This will involve meeting all Service Level Agreement (SLA) requirements and maintaining a safe working environment.

Main Responsibilities

  • Undertake all necessary training to deliver caretaking services.
  • Adhere to Mitie's Quality, Safety, Health, and Environmental policies and procedures.
  • Ensure all equipment is well-maintained and in safe working order.
  • Have a thorough understanding of cleaning equipment, materials, and approved chemicals used by Mitie.
  • Be responsible for proper maintenance, cleaning, security, and safety within the school premises and grounds.
  • Address emergency cleaning situations, including slippery floors, spillages, and bodily fluids.
  • Monitor helpdesk jobs and address/close within assigned timelines and SLAs.
  • Act as key holder and provide access to relevant parties as required.
  • Perform planned and ad hoc porterage in line with SLAs and school requests.
  • Keep internal and grounds areas free from litter.
  • Act as first point of contact for helpdesk jobs and resolve or feedback requirements.
  • Empty external and internal bins.
  • Set up rooms for examinations and school functions, and return to their usual layout.
  • Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) tasks, including weekly fire alarm and sprinkler tests, and monthly emergency light flick tests.
  • Cover out-of-hours building usage on a rota system.
  • Ensure access for contractors and escort them if necessary.
  • Adhere to Safeguarding Policies and raise any concerns in line with Mitie's policy.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Perform any other related duties within the job holder's capability, according to business needs.

Requirements

  • Caretaking experience is preferred but training can be provided.
  • Reliability, a professional attitude, and the ability to work to a schedule and as part of a team are essential.
  • Initiative, honesty, self-drive, and a determination to improve service delivery are also required.
