Senior Accountant Job Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team at Public Practice Recruitment Ltd. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting our clients with their financial needs, providing expert advice and guidance on financial matters.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working with clients within practice, with a strong understanding of accounting software, including Sage, QuickBooks and Xero. You will be adept at using Microsoft Office suite, including Excel and Word, and possess excellent communication and advisory skills.
As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for planning, preparing and reviewing accounts for a diverse and significant client portfolio. You will also be required to liaise directly with clients, sending final accounts, proactively handling queries and building trusted relationships.
In addition, you will be responsible for forecasting and managing budgets, overseeing workflow and mentoring junior staff with training and knowledge sharing. You will also prepare personal and corporation tax computations, including tax returns, tax liabilities and providing trusted advisory.
We offer a competitive salary of £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, a full-time, permanent position with hybrid working and a 'manage your own diary' approach. Job Requirements
- ACCA or ACA qualified or part qualified with previous experience within practice.
- A proven track record of working with clients within practice.
- Working knowledge of accounting software, including Sage, QuickBooks and Xero.
- Adept at using Microsoft Office suite, including Excel and Word.
- Strong communication and advisory skills.
- Good attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Self-motivated and able to manage a team's workflow.
- A team player able to bring out the best in others.
