Job Title: Software Test Engineer

Philips is seeking a skilled Software Test Engineer to join our team in the UK. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our medical devices.

About the Role:
  • Support the software testing process for EC Pro products, including software testing, defect management, and software test lifecycle maintenance activities.
  • Contribute to the design and development of test protocols.
  • Test functional and non-functional requirements, both manual and automated.
  • Collaborate with automation counterparts in EC to maintain team relationships and ensure seamless integration.
  • Follow quality procedures in line with engineering processes to attain and maintain medical device regulatory approvals.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Engineering or Computing degree or equivalent from an accredited school in an appropriate engineering/technical discipline.
  • Good knowledge and experience of software verification/validation.
  • Proven experience in testing roles.
  • Proven experience in formulating test strategies, test plans, and procedures (manual and automation) for medical devices.
  • Hands-on experience with one or more of the frameworks (Postman, Python, and Labview is a plus).
  • Programming languages: Python; additional experience with C, C++ is a plus.
  • Experience in development and continuous integration tools such as Azure DevOps is a must.
  • Proven experience in integrating test frameworks into ADO is a plus.
  • Behaviour Driven Development and/or Test-Driven Development experience.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity testing methodologies will be an advantage.
  • Prototype and test fixture development and testing.
  • Experience in testing a medical device will be a plus.
  • Understanding of Linux-based embedded systems will be a plus.
