Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Nursery Assistant Practitioner to join our team at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to our young patients.

Main Responsibilities

As a Nursery Assistant Practitioner, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for children to learn and thrive.
  • Acting as a key worker to named children, carrying out observations and developmental reports, and liaising with parents regularly.
  • Working collaboratively with the team and parents to promote a positive and professional role model for colleagues and children.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need to have:

  • A minimum Level 2 child care qualification (Ofsted approved).
  • Experience of working in a nursery setting with children aged three months to five years.
  • Excellent knowledge of child development and current practices.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work under own initiative as necessary.
  • Ability to adapt to meet the needs of the service within a team environment.
