HR Consultant


Our client, a leading provider of HR support and payroll services, is seeking a dynamic and experienced HR Consultant to join their team in Maidstone, Kent. As an HR Consultant, you will be responsible for providing expert HR advice and support to clients, ensuring compliance with employment law and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Consultation: Provide expert HR advice and support on a variety of issues, including employment law, employee relations, performance management, and organisational development.

Policy Development: Assist clients in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures that comply with current legislation and best practices.

Employee Relations: Manage employee relations issues, including disciplinary actions, grievances, and conflict resolution.

Performance Management: Advise on performance management processes, including setting objectives, conducting appraisals, and managing underperformance.

Training and Development: Develop and deliver HR training programs covering areas such as employment law updates, management skills, and HR best practices.

HR Projects: Lead and participate in HR projects, including restructuring, redundancy processes, and change management initiatives.

Documentation: Prepare and review HR documentation, including employment contracts, employee handbooks, and disciplinary letters.

Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their business needs and providing proactive HR support.

Requirements:

Experience: Proven experience as an HR Consultant or in a similar HR role, with a strong understanding of employment law and HR best practices.

Qualifications: CIPD level 5 qualified or equivalent HR qualification.

Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of UK employment law and HR practices.

Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex HR issues clearly and concisely.

Organisational Skills: Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously.

IT Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HR software.
