Job Title: Associate Project Manager - MEP Services

At ENGINEERINGUK, we are seeking an experienced Associate Project Manager to join our team. As a key member of our MEP Services team, you will be responsible for the delivery of MEP services on projects, ensuring timely, budget-friendly, and high-quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the MEP team on projects, demonstrating professional and respectful behaviors, and providing clear direction and guidance.
  • Ensure the successful delivery of MEP services, including program management, health and safety, quality, and commissioning.
  • Partner with key project stakeholders, forming strong working relationships with clients, consultants, trade contractors, and other team leaders.
  • Drive the delivery of the tendering process and provide expert technical and commercial support to bid teams and sector leadership.
  • Direct the initial review of contracts and scope, assist in the preparation of budgets, value engineering, schedules, and trade contracts.
  • Input into the creation and deployment of project strategic plans, aligning with the Mace operating framework and strategic priorities.
  • Execute productivity assessments using digital technologies to ensure projects are on schedule.
  • Proactively identify risks and produce mitigation plans.
  • Provide performance management, technical, and career development, and coaching.
Requirements:
  • Advanced knowledge of engineering systems, including design standards, installation techniques, best practices, and system commissioning requirements.
  • Advanced knowledge of planning processes and management, including key construction release requirements, critical path, tasks/works scheduling, and commissioning activities.
  • Advanced knowledge of commercial management, including procurement processes, change control, program impact, risk, and mitigation, cost to complete, and commercial forecasting.
  • Advanced knowledge of health, safety, and welfare core elements, including working from height, electrical safety, fire safety, logistics, and lifting.
  • Advanced knowledge of quality assurance processes and management, including commissioning of single systems and integration of systems through cause and effect, BMS, and IST integration periods.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Experience in delivering projects in excess of £25m+ MEP value.
  • Demonstrated track record of successful projects/contribution.
  • Proficiency in building services or a specified engineering discipline.
  • Trade/technical apprenticeship or graduate development program.
  • Formal engineering training (HNC).
  • SMSTS and CSCS card.
