Mobile Commercial Gas Engineer Opportunity

CBW Staffing Solutions is seeking an experienced gas engineer to join our team on a mobile basis. This role will cover the Dundee, Aberdeen, Inverness & Perth region, carrying out maintenance and repair tasks for commercial clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance and complete relevant paperwork and reports.
  • Perform reactive and planned commercial maintenance tasks.
  • Conduct maintenance and repair work, including fabric and basic electrical tasks, as required under contract.
  • Ensure all statutory and mandatory tasks are completed within the required timescales.
  • Verify that all certification is correctly completed and remedial works are clearly identified.
  • Respond to reactive and emergency tasks, utilizing handheld technology effectively.
  • Participate in an on-call rota to provide clients with full out-of-hours cover and assist other team members as needed.
  • Ensure all required paperwork is completed and submitted within the specified timescales.
  • Monitor visiting sub-contractors regarding the standard of work and Health and Safety, issuing appropriate permits and controlling small works and escort duties as required.
Person Specification:
  • Hold a City & Guilds Level II/III or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline.
  • Possess Commercial Gas Safe qualifications, including COCN1/CODNCO1 minimum.
  • Have good commercial gas maintenance knowledge.
  • Have extensive experience working in commercial environments.
  • Be familiar with maintenance, testing, and fault-finding on various equipment, including boiler plant, ventilation, pumps, generators, switchgear, cables, batteries, small power, and lighting (where applicable).
  • Have knowledge of Health & Safety and safe working practices.
Salary and Benefits:
  • Basic salary of up to £46,000.
  • Monday to Friday, 08.00 – 17.00 working hours.
