About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Information Governance Lead to join our team at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective management of information governance across the Trust.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily operations of the Information Governance team, ensuring compliance with legislation, regulation, and guidance.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on data protection and security awareness, developing training plans and contributing to Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIA).
  • Familiarity with project management approaches and the ability to shape data governance for our organization.

Requirements
  • Specialist knowledge relating to Data Protection & Confidentiality, Information & Cyber Security, and Records Management.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of applicable legislation and relevant best practice related to Information Governance within the public and private sector.
  • Desirable: Recognized Information Governance qualification and experience of holding a budget/resource management.
