Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Practitioner to lead our East Learning Disabilities and Autism Team. The successful candidate will bring specialist knowledge, skills, and passion to encourage independence and deliver high-quality support services.
About the RoleThe Autism Practitioner will work collaboratively with statutory, private, and voluntary services to deliver an effective joint response, providing the right information, advice, and enablement to young people and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Statutory Duties: Ensure the team meets Suffolk County Council's statutory duties under relevant legislation and guidance for adults with support needs and their carers.
- Collaboration and Partnership: Oversee collaboration with statutory, private, and voluntary services to deliver an effective joint response, providing the right information, advice, and enablement to young people and their families.
- Risk Management and Intervention: Promote intervention that strengthens independence and support networks, maintains wellbeing, and contributes to desired outcomes including multiagency safeguarding and risk management.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have passion for embracing new and innovative ways of working, including digital technology. You should also be skilled at assessing and working with risk, being risk-positive where appropriate.
