About the Role

We are seeking an experienced support practitioner to join our Reconnect and Outreach services within the Liaison and Diversion Team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing advice, guidance, and support to individuals coming through the criminal justice system, with a focus on diverting people from this pathway where possible.

Main Responsibilities
  • Liaise with criminal justice system stakeholders and colleagues to provide advice and guidance
  • Work with service users to address issues such as housing and financial advice
  • Contribute to the effective running of the service by providing and receiving information to/from other departments
  • Use an outreach approach to assist service users to attend first key appointments
  • Enable Mersey Care Criminal Justice Liaison and Diversion service users to comply with orders made by the police or the court
Requirements
  • Ability to supervise student nurses and junior staff
  • Experience of working within a criminal justice setting
  • Knowledge of non-statutory agencies
  • Diploma Level of Knowledge in relevant field
