Maintenance Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Hunter Selection in the Somerset Area. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our plant equipment and machinery.

About the Role:
  • You will carry out Predictive Maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and minimise downtime
  • Identify and repair faults in electrical and mechanical plant equipment or machinery, including PLCs
  • Program and maintain Siemens and other programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to ensure optimal performance
  • Promote lean thinking and strong health and safety standards across the site to create a safe and efficient working environment
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience and knowledge of PLCs (programmable logic controllers)
  • HNC or HND qualification in a relevant field
  • 17th / 18th edition qualified
  • Diagnostics experience of electrical motors and pneumatics
  • Apprenticeship trained - desirable
  • Experience working in an automated industry

Estimated salary range: £46,000 - £47,000 per annum
