About the Role

Menzies Distribution Ltd is looking for a skilled Night Shift Logistics Coordinator to join our team in Coventry. This role involves working nights, providing a first-class service and working closely with stakeholders to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure all drivers report and record vehicle defects
  • Adhere to drivers' hours regulations
  • Work with stakeholders to foster an environment of enhanced productivity
  • Support the management of client's end-to-end transport requirements
  • Maximise operation performance and act as a key point of contact for the transport team
  • Contribute positively to KPI performance targets and identify change initiatives
  • Provide 24-hour incident support and investigate operational system failures
  • Proactively manage health and safety, ensuring employee wellbeing in accordance with Company guidelines
  • Manage and maintain the Transport fleet, ensuring compliance with legal requirements
About You

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A proven experience of managing employees and customers in a transport environment
  • A professional and efficient approach to challenging situations
  • Experience of successful people management
  • Detailed understanding of relevant legislations in transport and health & safety
  • Ability to prioritise, manage a varied workload and support decision making
Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is £31,000 per annum. Additional benefits include a Pension Scheme, Life Insurance, Cycle2Work scheme, Employee Assistance Program, and SPIRIT Awards - Peer to Peer recognition.
