The role encompasses a broad spectrum of dispute resolution work, including advising on payment disputes, contractual claims, and operational matters through to professional negligence claims. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Providing legal and commercial advice on professional indemnity claims via dispute resolution processes
  2. Advising on contract and construction law
  3. Maintaining corporate governance in relation to the settlement of disputes
  4. Managing external lawyers regarding initial instructions, ongoing claims, costs, and strategy
  5. Liaising with insurance brokers
  6. Keeping the business updated on legal developments and delivering training as appropriate

You will have strong experience of professional negligence claims and disputes, with some exposure to construction and engineering matters. A first-class communication skillset, a commercial and pragmatic approach to giving legal advice, and adeptness at resolving disputes are essential for this role.

On offer is a highly competitive salary of £80,000 - £100,000 per annum, plus additional generous benefits and the opportunity to join a passionate team taking a key role in litigation. The position is open to lawyers seeking either a full-time or 4-day-week opportunity.
