Subject Matter Expert

Study Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as an AES Subject Lead. This role will play a critical part in ensuring the effective delivery of teaching programs in line with our education strategy and broader scholarship.
Key Responsibilities- Provide academic coordination for designated modules as Subject Lead
- Lead/participate in regular meetings with teaching and support staff to manage programs and student life cycle
- Line manage a group of academic tutors
- Contribute to module design, delivery, and development
- Deliver and assess Academic English provision
- Prepare and mark module examinations and assessments
- Support planning activities, including timetabling and field trips
- Update and maintain the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) and AES online platform
- Collaborate with the Student Experience and academic team to deliver induction, orientation, and registration programs
- Liaise with the Progression, Welfare, and Support team to support student progression
- Represent the department at external events and engage in scholarly activity to ensure module delivery is current
- Implement quality assurance procedures and contribute to annual program monitoring and review
- Log and monitor student attendance and maintain accurate records of student engagement
- Complete sponsor reports and academic reports for students
- Undertake teaching, learning, and assessment observations and staff development plans
- Perform other duties as required by the Head of AES and Centre Director
- Bachelor's degree
- Relevant teaching qualification (DELTA, TEFL, MA Linguistics)
- Experience teaching in UK higher or further education and preferably a teaching qualification and experience working with international students
