Key Responsibilities:

  • Mentor and coach other members of the Business Applications team in conducting business analysis-related activities.
  • Lead the requirements engineering phase of the SDLC, defining business problems and primary objectives of new projects.
  • Elicit and analyze functional, non-functional, and technical requirements from business stakeholders.
  • Use data modeling practices to analyze requirements and create recommendations for business change.
  • Communicate benefits of recommendations across departments, addressing uncertainty and concern.
  • Support staff and teams in implementing recommendations, resolving related issues.
  • Evaluate potential software solutions, ensuring they meet business requirements.
  • Capture and document functional requirements in the form of use cases and user stories.
  • Coordinate walk-throughs and sign-offs, verifying accuracy of requirements with business users.

Requirements:

  • Degree-level education (high grade).
  • 3+ years' experience in a business analysis role or carrying out business analysis-related activities.
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to present to various audiences.
  • Excellent analytical skills, informed, evidence-based approach.
  • Ability to work under pressure on multiple projects within project timeframes.
  • Able to motivate others, lead change.
  • Strong interest in business and business development.
  • Good understanding of information technology.
  • Experience using modeling languages like UML and BPMN.
  • Desirable: BCS/IIBA certification, experience working in Agile environments.

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience.
