With the release of Large Language Models (LLMs), such as OpenAI's GPT-4o, we've pivoted to utilize these technologies, presenting an opportunity for someone passionate about learning how to apply them in production use cases.

You'll be responsible for designing and developing key features of our web application, along with the underlying services and infrastructure that support it. Joining a dynamic and fast-paced team focused on quality, usability, and impact, you'll work through discovery, design, implementation, deployment, maintenance, and continuous improvement.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing complex Backend, DevOps, and Infrastructure projects.
  • Designing, testing, refactoring, deploying, maintaining, and supporting production software.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including an AI product manager, VP of AI, legal domain experts, data scientists, and software engineers, to define user stories, experiment, and ship new features while implementing functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Championing quality and reuse across the product and codebase.
  • Collaborating with business stakeholders to ensure developed features have real business impact for customers and contribute to moving key business metrics as we design and build a new product.
  • Participating in architecture and code reviews to continuously improve the quality, maintainability, security, and scalability of our applications.

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • Proficiency in Python with proven experience building and scaling backend systems from scratch.
  • Experience in setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment.
  • Ability to implement and execute automated testing for quality assurance.
  • Leadership and communication skills, including mentoring junior developers and leading projects effectively.
  • Adaptability, with the ability to transition between different teams and projects as needed.
