About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sea Logistics Business Development Manager to join our team at Kuehne+Nagel. As a key member of our Sea Logistics business, you will be responsible for developing and promoting the growth of our sea logistics business in the UK.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a focused approach to promote and grow the sea logistics business in the UK.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Operations teams to bring in new business and maintain current business.
  • Develop and own strategy to achieve agreed growth targets for sea logistics.
  • Provide sales leads to the Sales organisation and deliver new business within your sales pipeline.
  • Maintain and develop overseas partner relationships, including pipeline development and sales lead creation.
  • Understand customer requirements to ensure effective alignment with supplier sourcing.
  • Conduct regular reviews of market sector strategy, new business opportunity, and value creation.
Your Skills and Experience
  • Good problem-solving ability.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Proficient with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience of gathering and interpreting business needs and offering suitable solutions.
  • In-depth interest in Sea Logistics Products and a background in logistics.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to translate technical jargon and keep stakeholders informed.
  • Collaboration skills at all levels, excellent networking ability.
  • Full driver's license with flexibility to travel nationally.
